Help sex my kit??

My Bella gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL kit today and I'm having a little trouble sexing the baby fuzzbutt. My best guess, it thats its a male. I'm trying to think of a name for the little booger, but I want to make sure he/she has an appropriate name.

At the risk of ruining any chance of developing a good reputation I'd have to disagree and say that that is a female for sure. The anus and urethra have noticeable space between them even at birth.

If they have space between then it is a male. I would say male.

I've been bouncing back and forth. Sometimes he looks male, and sometimes she looks female. Female would be preferable so she can be cage mates with momma!

Looks like a for sure female to me. On males, the penile sheath is a bit bigger and further away from the anus. On females, the urethral cone is close to the anus and has a "slit" on it on the side facing the anus. I see the slit in the fourth picture.

Take another pic in a few days, in the same pose as that fourth photo, and we can help confirm then.

Just did a quick check, and I do see a DEFINITE slit in the little cone. So, that means its a lovely lady, correct?

Having sexed a ridiculous number of chinchillas and kits, that is definitely a female. There has to be a NOTICEABLE space for it to be a male. This kit has the cone right next to the anus.

I sex over a thousand kits a year but I never give a 100% positive answer just from peoples pics. The way they hold them can lead you wrong sometimes.
