Please anyone who can give me any advice....
My chinchilla has red exposed skin around his eyes and he is losing his fur there. I am taking him to the vet but is there anything I can do beforehand because that is not for 2 days?

Is it dry and scaly? Is he drooling? Is he eating normally?

I have not noticed any of those abnormalities.....

Has he had discharge from the eyes? Like tears, or a white discharge?

Has he lost any weight recently?

Taking him to a vet and getting him checked is the best thing you can for him at this point. It could be a tooth issue, fungus, or an infection. If a chin experienced vet suspects a tooth issue, he will need to be sedated and x-rayed. If it's an infection, he may need oral antibiotics and antibiotic eye drops. If it's not dry and flaky, then it is probably not fungus, but the vet can check for that too if necessary.
