Hello from Newfoundland!

Hi , my names Stacey , i'm 18 and currently going for a Phd in wildlife biology.
I've been an animal lover my entire life and dont exactly plan to stop.

This is actually my 2nd time writing an intro here - yesterday failed as when I pressed Post! the server logged me off . So i'll make this one shorter with less pictures of my friends who own me.

Lets start with my best friend - Koda.
A 7 year old male shih tzu.

And the budgies...

Mimzy , 3 1/2 year old cinnamon light green hen.

Chibi-Chibi , 2 year old YF2 skyblue recessive pied cock.

Piplup , 1 year old Skyblue spangle hen.

all of which are in a flight cage with 8 hours of free flight a day.
*picture not included , but its a black HQ flight*

There was a fourth... Mumble who was Mimzy's brother. Sadly he passed away in my hands from cancer a few christmases ago, vet totally messed up and said it was a fatty.

Anyway ! I dont have a Chinchilla yet But im waiting a few months , maybe a year untill I have filled my brain with as much info as possible ! I just hate when people jump into things.

Thank you ! Actually , birds dont mimic for the most part . Parrots ( such as budgies ) have the learning ability of a 7 year old child. They learn to use words , identify ( even say sorry and such when they know somethings wrong ), count etc.
Theres a great video of a grey called Alex on youtube that Dr.Pepperberg ( a scientist ) shows the world of bird intellagence.
