Hi!
I've wanted a chinchilla ever since I was little when I saw one in a pet store. Now that I'm an adult and recently bought a house I decided to thoroughly research them and came to the conclusion that I'd have to save up some money to get the proper supplies for one and then find a reputable breeder. And then a couple months ago someone came to me and asked if I would like to take their chinchilla as they could no longer care for him. Of course!
So now I'm a first time chin owner to Rigs, a very handsome 5 year old standard grey male! I'm in the process of researching different cages and setups as the one he came with is a bit small and has plastic shelving. I'm also considering getting another chin and trying to introduce them so Rigs will have a buddy. I'm sure I will be posting more threads throughout the forum soon as I have different questions and concerns about each of these topics and can't wait to hear some input from fellow chin owners!
