I honestly was not expecting to come home today from a marching band competition with a little chinchilla....but who could resist this?! Meet Harley! (and Phil's..crotch? bahahaha)

I didn't think he was a white until I saw his little white spot on the end of his tail and his darker black spots on his back...I fell in love as soon as I saw him...& Phil didn't object, he likes him too!

Thanks everyone! He is actually much darker than in the pictures. My flash washed him out a bit.

Phil & I went to watch the marching band regionals, and since we were out, we decided to go shop around. I needed a new water bottle, so we went into a small pet shop near the mall. I saw a cage and wandered over, peeked into the hidey house and saw a pink white chinchilla sleeping. I went over to get my water bottle, and decided to visit the chinnie one more time and out hopped this little guy as soon as I came over. My mouth pretty much dropped the floor and I melted right then and there when he stuck his little face out at me.

I asked to hold him (I think that was my downfall, haha) and held him up to my face. After getting some whisker kisses, I couldn't leave without the little guy. I just decided it was fate since I wasn't going to visit the chins again, but something compelled me to do so, and as soon as I went over, he hopped right out to me. Plus I have a major weakness for whites with markings!

Phil gets credit for his name, though. I think he looks just like a Harley.

He is SUCH a sweetie. I went to check on him this morning and he crawled all sleepily right out into my hands. So I set him on my bed with me and he just snuggled up right against my neck and set there for awhile.. UGH he's already got me tied around his little paws!
