Minnie's Mom

In looking through some of the posts i noticed many of you have small stuffed toys in your hedgies home, as well as some tunnels/containers.
I've had Minnie for just over a year and have been trying to find her some great toys. Unfortunately there's nothing really made specifically for hedgies that I can find. I've tried some various ferret toys, like the tunnel, but the noise seemed to scare her more than anything. I've also tried toilet paper rolls, and although she enjoyed them when she was younger, shes too big now and gets stuck.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Heather

Two things that have been consistently popular with every hedgehog I've ever owned are mini-beanie babies, and these cat toys:

The little nubs on the cat toys are just the right size for a hedgie to chew on. Phoebe, my most enthusiastic chewer, will ruin one per week, so it's important to check the toy every morning to make sure it's not starting to come apart. Xander has been here for almost six months and is only on his second one. He prefers to just push it around with his nose.

If you get a beanie baby, make sure there are no eyes, buttons, whiskers etc that can be chewed off. I have bought beanie baby keychains and cut off the tags and keyring. Beanie baby dog toys also work really well. I hope that helps!
