Hedgehogs are real?

Figured you'd guys get a kick out of this...

So at work the other day, hanging up my picture of my hedgie, Fulci, on my cubicle wall with the other creatures. And a coworker sees it and asked what it is. I tell her, its a hedgehog.
"You mean that thing is real?" is her reply...I assume she means its because its an albino in a funny pose...And tell her its real....her reply....





"I thought hedgehogs were just like an animal created for the Sonic game. I didn't know they were real animals?

Lol, I just got the EXACT reply when I posted about Tangelo in my Spice Girls forum. Some people didn't knew they exited and most of them (being brittish and thinking abut their hedgehog) tough it was weird he was so pale!

Haha! Created for the Sonic game! I've never heard that one. Usually, though, people either don't know what she is, have never heard of hedgies as pets, or (most commonly) think she's a porcupine. :laughitup:

Of all the people I've told I'm getting a hedgehog, I'd say 10% of them knew what they are lol, and I've had more than one ask if I'm naming it Sonic *sigh*

i knew they were real cuz i seen them in zoos but i never thought you could have them as pets till last Thursday.

I hate when I get this... When I was originally getting my first, I was told to name it "Sonic" or "Spike" well over 20 times. This was repeated when I got the Texas rescue.

I just name the hog something really difficult to pronounce and laugh those trying to pronounce it. (Can you tell I love my co-workers).. :yuck:
