After loads of research, and looking around for the perfect hedgie i found one and going to pick up my little baby soon!

I need to go to the store and get all the supplies, can anybody tell me some of the things you prefer for your hedgie?
i.e Brand of bedding / food.
What kind of toys you have, just stuff like that.

Thanks! :)

I don't know all of it, but from what I've read is that many people like fleece liners, with a litter box, and that many people use Royal Canin Cat food. (Not sure what type.) I also know that wheels for hedgies are a MUST. I know a lot of people just use bucket wheels, but some wheels are made specifically for hedgies. I don't own any but it seemed like I could help out. *Shrugs*

When I first started rounding things up for my cage this is the list I used for the essentials:

12" solid wheel, I chose the Superpet Comfort Wheel but the Carolina storm wheel seems to be the most popular.

for toys I got 4" diameter pvc pipes and solid kitty tennis balls

I bought a medium sized igloo for his home

I decided on a 100 watt ceramic heat emitter and clamp for heating purposes because it doesn't output light but does heat.

I found a perfect tupperware container for the litter box under the wheel. it's about two inches high and 12 across.

I will be using a fleece blanket for bedding and am buying a fleece igloo wrapper for comfort (http://www.etsy.com/listing/78724456/medium-igloo-cover?ref=ss_listing)

Finally the food I've chosen is Royal Canin Indoor Light 40 cat food and will be mixing it with Wellness healthy weight cat food.
