So I took Hazel to the vet about a week ago because we suspected she had mites. The vet couldn't find any but said she could have them so she is being treated. Since then I haven't seen her itch and the vet had said that aside from her dry skin (which is normal this time of year and she gave me some good tips), she is the healthiest hedgehog she's seen in a long time. Perfect weight, body structure, clean nose and eyes, everything! YAY!

I'm sure the vet is always surprised when they get to see a healthy hedgehog. I know one of mine commented once that usually people wait until they are very sick to bring them in, so one that is fairly healthy or healthy is a real treat.
