good cage find

i just had to share my excitement with people who would understand!

i found a cage on the side of the road today. its not a huge cage or anything, but it is good for either the Guinea Pig OR a weekend travel cage OR if i am pet sitting for a week, owners dont have to bring their cages.

it is similar to this one but it is more square & not rectangular:

I have a few of those here and will probably end up with tons more...they come in with rescues and sometimes people just give them to me. If you were closer, I'd say to come on over and take all the old cages...

I have one of those and it is a perfect 'piggie' cage but I also use it as a quarantine cage and a "hospital" when one of my chin's is sick. ( it makes it easier to give them meds, etc. )

Nice! Im glad you found it in good shape! I found a great TV stand at the end of someone's drive way once, nice and sturdy I use it to shelve my chin food barrel and random chinnie things...

Laur--it's my first garbage pick! I felt so weird doing it! But it actually is a decent cage, it has two openings one on the side & one on top. It measures 23 x 23 square. the one the GP is in now is 32 x 19. whcih is much bigger than the little dirty bird cage she was in!
It will be a good spare cage for either weekend travel, hospice (hopefully wont need that!) petsitting, or whatever.
