So sad to hear. My alone chin has a med size stuffed hedgehog from petsmart and it's
his buddy. It's the perfect size for him to jump on, throw him around and snuggle with.
You poor thing, going through all this---don't forget to take care of you, as well.

Poor smudgie, you're doing all you can, maybe give him more attention to get his mind off Mako, hope he recovers soon.

I absolutely scrubbed the cage down- washed all fleece, used vinegar/water on all wire and shelves.

In good news: he has started eating :) I watched him sit at his food bowl for about 10 minutes last night munching, and all of his hay was gone this morning. :)

Yeah, maybe he needed some time and hopefully he's over the hurdle. So glad to hear he's eating again!

Glad to hear he is on the up swing. The thing I would worry the most about is if you lost his cage mate what was wrong health wise. He may not be eating right becouse he is not feeling good himself.

That is so terrible to hear. I am very sorry about your loss. I wish you and the "chin family" the best.

You must have missed the post last week. Smudge, the one who went off his feed lost his cagemate because he (Smudge) attacked him, Mako never recovered.
