galveston/houston vets???

so i live in galveston and have been calling around looking for vets in case gizmo has an emergency or just to have for when he goes for his first visit.

i found one in galveston called Galveston Vet Clinic. but im not so sure on how specialized they are to treat chins. they have an "exotic animal" doctor but the other day when i called, they said he mostly treats exotic reptiles, but will take chins.

does anyone else know of anywhere in houston? preferably south houston?

A bit late for the OP but for future reference, I use Deer Park Animal Hospital (La Porte, Baytown, Pasadena area) for my chins and ferrets. They are a small operation but do know how to handle the simple things with these critters and are very reasonable with their prices. They have treated my oldest chin for 4 years for things ranging from teeth filings, GI stasis and fungus.

For serious problems or after hours emergencies, I use Gulf Coast Avian and Exotics (near the Galleria). This place is amazing. They have all kinds of specialists and have exotics vets on call 24/7. They are extremely expensive but they have pulled my ferrets through some serious problems. They also fixed Gizmo's teeth problems that were too complicated for the Deer Park vet.
