Just thought I'd share some pics of a rescue I adopted that used to fur-chew due to neglect. I never cared that how he looked, but I'm so happy to see that he stopped fur-chewing that I had to do a photoshoot!

(sorry if the poses are a bit redundant, but I'm so proud of him that I wanted to get different angles of his fur)

His fur is still a little rough in some places

But overall, I think he is beautiful

That gives me hope for my chewer! Though, he's far from neglected and he actually started chewing in my care. :( Still have hope.

awww!!! he is so sweet!!! im so happy you have given him a loving home!!! he deserves it!!! congrats!!! all the best!!

I never really thought he'd grow it back, because it took about 2 or 3 months before anything grew back, but after a few tufts appeared it was all downhill from there :)

Aww he looks so cute and so happy now! I'm glad he stopped for you! That's great news. And I love the picture of him in his house!

I would have never thought that was the same chin! You've done an awesome job making him happy!!

One that that helps as I've found with my girl who's a chewer in constantly giving 'new' toys and stuff to chew on instead of herself and her cagemates.

Congrats on the turnaround! Fur chewing can be a tough habit to break.

Tried it. :( He's continuing to get worse even with all the new toys that I switch out every other day and such.

Wow what an improvement. Obviously he is very happy with you now!!

He looks so cute all zonked out in his sleeping bag!
