ive had my hedgehog for almost two years now. and over this time i have been trying to get a good food mix going. i have tried many mixes with varieties of flavors, blue buffalo salmon and chicken weight maintenance, wellness, innova etc. ive mixed these in with royal canin weight maintenance, which she likes very much.

out of all these types of food she never even tries them, i count the pieces and offer them for months on end with out the slightest nibble taken. i found advice on here before that one could try storing all the foods together so their smells mix but she can still pick out only the RC. it does have a strong distinct smell but it also has a different shape than any food i have tried, so it could be that.

idk what to do, for the past month ive given up on trying to find something she will eat besides RC. i feel like i am wasting so much money and good pet food. i am considering giving it one more shot and buying chicken soup for the cat lovers soul light. i really want to have a mix so if one disappears i have another that she likes and i know it will give her a wider more healthy diet.

does anyone have any more suggestions or ideas. what shape does the CSCLS have? is there a food that is really popular with hedgies that i havent tried? idk, i dont want to give up but its getting to that point where i am considering it.

CSCLS kibbles are X's. And is very popular with my two. Satin also liked Solid gold Katz-n-Flocken. I'm using past tense just to indicate that we don't have the food at this time; Satin, herself, is doing just fine.

i think i will try getting the small bag of CSCLS and test it out for the next couple weeks. i think the shape of the food plays a role since she likes the RC shape she will probably like the X's of the CSCLS. and if it doesn't work out, ill give the food to my parents again since they have cats... i really hope she likes it since its such a high quality food.
