Follow up on Usagi-

So don't know if you all remember Usagi but she was my girl I bought from a ranch who developed an abscess 2 days after bringing her home. Her abscess was absolutely horrible and took weeks to completely heal. More like almost 2 months. Well because of her abscess she developed endocarditis (inflammation of the heart). The bacteria became blood borne and caused disease to her heart valves. We treated her for 6 weeks for the infection in her heart but much to my dismay her heart was already damaged. It left her with a grade 4/6 heart murmur.

Besides being short of breath and her murmur she has done absolutely wonderful. She has gained all of her weight back and seems happy. I've been happy with her progress and plan on keeping her here until she passes. I don't know what her life expectancy is but since she is happy and eating/drinking well we will just give her the best life we can provide for her.

So glad to hear Usagi is still holding on and that she's happy. I just want to give her sweet kisses, the poor little girl.

Thanks for the update, I do think of her, I remember those awful pictures. I'm glad she is doing alright. Next time you take some pics I'd love to see her.
