I was wondering if most people put wood ledges on the doors as well, I have seen some pics with people that do put them on the doors. Also for those that have ledges on the doors, do your chins use them? For some reason I have my doubts that my girls would use them... but they certainly use all the other ledges - thanks!

Yes, I have ledges on my doors. The chins use them just like any other ledges.

I have a sifter feeder on the door and Kingston uses it as a ledge :]

I have a few ledges on the doors of Murphy's FN & they are his favorite sitting spots!

I have ledges and thick branch stumps on the doors and they do use them. I do have to be careful though when cleaning as I sometimes run into/hit the ledges as I move around or stand up...once I hit one standing up so hard that the door came off its hinges! :rofl:
