my chinchillas ate through their plastic wheel and i have realized theres no way to get around it (and its worthless to keep buying plastic when it isnt good for them any ways....) and that i have to buy them one of the expensive wheels! im finally getting a good enough pay check next week and will have the money to buy them one! poor things havent had a wheel for like a month or two :/ anyways i was just wondering... since their both pretty much the same price would i be better off getting the chin spin or saucer? i like the chin spin because it takes up less space but i heard the flying saucers quieter. Their cage is huge....i got the chinchilla mansion from quality cages and connected my other one to it so space doesnt matter that much if the saucers better... but i dont know....what should i get? and if i did get the saucer i would get it from http://www.flyingsaucerwheels.com/purchasewheels.html .... would the standard size be fine?

There are lots of threads discussing Flying Saucer vs Chin Spin, type in "Flying Saucer vs Chin Spin" in the search box and you'll have lots of threads to look through ;)

I personally went for the Chin Spin because my girl knows how to use a wheel like that. I didn't want to spend the money on something she wouldn't use, or something I would have to coax her to us. She figured out her Chin Spin within a few hours and is now a pro chin racer LOL. We just got it yesterday, I was so surprised how quickly she figured it out!

I have the Chin Spin and the one who uses it LOVES it. She had a plastic wheel before that and it did take a few days for her to figure out it was the same thing, only better.
I think the flying saucer looks like so much fun, I'm dying to get one, but I don't know if she'll figure it out or like it. I've heard that some chins never do figure out how to use it. It's a lot of money for a maybe...if you have room in the cage, could you put both in there?

I have the flying saucer and although it took my chin a little bit to figure it out, she has since used it everyday and loves it.
