I've installed a new flying saucer for a new cage, but when i test it out by spinning with my hands it's making an odd rattling. It's not the cage rattling that's the problem, so it can't be solved with the block of wood trick. I dont have my camera with me right now so I can't show pictures of where it is rattling, so bear with me.

You know how when you assemble it, you slide the lower collor onto the wheel axle, then the disk, then the upper axle, then tighten them all together against each other? Well no matter how tightly i fit the parts together, I can still wiggle the disk back and forth. The parts aren't laying perfectly flat against each other. I've disassembled and reassembled and retightened countless times but to no avail. It's a very small wiggle, but when i test the wheel with my hands it makes this rattling, and you can tell it's the disk bouncing between the two collars.

Just wondering if anyone had this problem before, and what you did to fix it.

Hmmm...I just put installed this last week and haven't had that problem.

I put the wheel on the axle, make sure the upper collar is FLUSH with the shaft. Tighten. Then press the other collar up against the wheel (from behind) and tighten. if the arm/shaft is extended past the collar it will either make noise, or not move well.

Here are the instructions again...hopefully this will help.

Just checked, the top collar is flush with the axle. When you take the disk between your fingers and wiggle it up and down between the two collars, does yours wiggle at all? Even a tiny bit?

Yes, there is some play once installed. I just put my fingers between the front and back of the disk and it does move a bit...not much though.

For reference, my disk barely makes any noise when Handbag is running on it. But when i first installed it, it was a little tight...meaning it didn't really spin around as much as it does now that he's been using it a bit.

Hope that helps.
