Fleece Tube questions

Hi, I was looking into making some new toys for my chin (specifically a home-made fleece tube in particular). I was wondering, would a 4" tube be large enough? Or should I get a 6" tube instead?

Also should I use microfleece, or just regular fleece for the cover?

I would get a tube that is 6'' in diameter. Blizzard or anti-pill fleece can be used to make a cover.
