I'm not sure how much they shrink per wash. I wash and dry the fabric twice before making liners. They seem to have all the 'shrink' out of them by then..

I would get more than you think you need, just to be safe. You can always use the extras to make other accessories like cuddle buddies and hay holders, etc. Plus now is a great time to buy because a lot of fabric stores have sales on blizzard and anti pill fleece since it's warm. I picked up some from Joann fabrics the other day, and I was able to get some awesome patterns for 4.99 a yard, instead of the usual 10 bucks a yard. The same sales are also online if you prefer to order it there.

I'm going to bump this thread with an additional question...

Some of the fleece linings fit differently. Some liners look like the sit on top and can be moved a bit. I think those that look fitted or pillow cased around the pan/shelf look much nicer. Are they fitted like a pillow case with extra cloth tucked underneath or is there some elastic/clip/grommet thingy holding it down?

if your asking me, then neither. I dont actuly have them atm. Cant afford it. I jsut wanted to check it all out incase i one day can. But i would most likly make them to fit the whole width of the cage, from bar to bar, rather then jsut fit the tray. If it only fits the tray and they use the corner, they can easy miss the lining.

I have a Bass pan on the bottom, with the fleece liner sitting in the pan. I have the original FN shelves in, and those are covered like you said - fitted like a pillowcase, with extra cloth tucked under. Some people use elastic or grommets, but I didn't need to, it worked out great for me. I would assume you could do this for the full-size trays, but you might want to make sure there is another layer of fleece or something on the top side for absorbency, otherwise I could see urine leaking through and pooling on the plastic, which wouldn't be fun to clean up.

This is what I did for the shelves: http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com/forums/showpost.php?p=259343&postcount=8
