Mommy to Max and Mia!
OMG! I have a silky terrier dog that roams the house all day while I'm at work but he usually hides when I get home until I'm halfway through the house and then attacks me with his love. Well today I came in and he met me at the door and was extra excited. I thought it was strange but continued through the house until I got to my chin cage and it was OPEN!!! I almost had a heart attack. I immediately put the dog in a bathroom and went on the hunt. Mia was still sitting in the cage just as calm as can be but Max was on the loose. I searched each room and blocked off the bottoms of the doors so that he couldn't get in them when I found him. I was crawling around the house looking in every little hole I could find and then found him sitting behind the T.V. Yep where all the wires are! Well I tried to get him but he ran of course and it ended up being a 15 minute chase. I tried using treats and being gentle and such but it wasn't working so finally I cornered him and had to quickly snatch him. I checked to see if he was bleeding or anything was wrong with him and he seemed fine so I put him back in the cage. He must have had fun because now he is running around playing with Mia an acting perfectly normal. Oh that little turd....I think I need a shot of tequila after that episode.:wacko:
Oh, the oh so common escape artist!LOL! I remember the first time my chin got out. I almost had a heartattack! I have 2 dogs and only one cat at the time and almost died. I woke up in the morning to check on the little guy and POOF! GONE! I ran through the house crying. Made my husband get out of bed and woke up the kids. We searched and searched and then there he was- behind the toy box. What a relief.
