I finally got around to making a website. Do you think some of you could take a look at it and make syre you don't see any mistakes? I have read through it and so has my husband btu we are bound to have missed something. See something that looks funny and needs to be changed? Weird font? Anything! I'm looking fro real opinions here. :p

The ad will eventually go away. I wanted to get the website up and running before I went to getting rid of the ads and such. I know the "Contact Us" and "Order Now" section are not working. It says I have to have the website up and running for 7 days before that will become active. Who knows why.

After looking around for awhile I realized there is not a rescue here in Jacksonville. After talking it over with my husband we decided to go for it. There are not a ton of chinchillas in Jacksonville, so we are going to remain on the small side, but I want there to be an option for people in the area. The closest surrender option is in Orlando, FL (Sunshine Chinchillas). I have seen too many chinchillas on craigslist lately to be comfortable with there not being a rescue around here.

So yeah, let me know what you think!

I really like the site! Very professional and easy to navigate. Two thumbs up!:thumbs:

1) I didn't see anything off/weird. Your site is very easy to navigate and the pictures load up fast and easy, the site is also pleasing on the eyes, not alot of junk to distract you from the "main issue" (a huge plus, in my opinion). I did not find any typos if that is what you were looking for as well.

2) Thats good that the ads will go away, also I was able to click on both the "contact us" and the "order form" buttons, there was information there as well as some email addresses in the contact us section, but maybe they're just "general" type of info until your site is live?

 Good for you (and your hubbie)! I hope everything works out well for you guys! Bless your chinnie hearts! :) I think that overall your rescue website is very well done.

P.S. I didn't know it was you who sold the chin cookies. I will be placing an order ASAP! :D
:heart3:

Yup, it's me. :D

And you can click on those areas, just not submit anything at this time. That's where the 7 days comes in. If you click submit you will see a message pop up that says that.

Very very nice site! I should link you to my site for those emails that I do get in your area. :)

I love the colors you chose with it being very easy to read. I cannot handle some of those websites that are very busy or have hard to read print (like light green on a dark background).

Good job!

I chose the colors I did because they were soothing. Nothing beats soothing.

I just changed a few things. I made the font larger in all the areas. I realized unless people have really good eyesight that it was a but difficult to read. I also noticed I switched between "I" and "we" a lot, so I changed that all to "we". My husband is just as involved so I shouldn't be taking all the credit anyway. :)

You are more than welcome to put a link on your site to mine. I am willing to travel a bit as well. I'm willing to go down to Daytona or up into Georgia as well. Shoot, I went all the way down to West Palm to pick up Buttons. :p If you ever needed me to, I would also be willing to come to you if you ended up taking in a group that was more than you could handle, or if you already had too many rescues. Orlando is only about 2 1/2 hours from me so it isn't that bad.

Crysta,
First I love the site. It's very easy to get around and no "junk" to distract from what you are doing.

A few things I noticed: In "about us" 2nd paragraph this typo appears twice: off of
I think it should read: weren't very experienced not wasn't
Under "toys" I'd specify what tree branches are safe. I think the way it reads to some may suggest that any tree branch will do.
The only other thing I was concerned about was the "Furs By" ad. My first thought was this is a chin rescue and they have an ad for FUR COATS!! Some might be put off by that. (just my opinion on this don't know what others may think)

Good Job to you and your husband for wanting to help those little lives! I can guarantee your wallet will always be empty, but your heart will be over flowing! :clap1:

Unfortunately for now I have no control over the ads. :( I can't believe they put one up for furs! That's horrible. I am going to upgrade the second I can so that the ads go away.

Thank you for the typo issues. I will head over and correct those now. I meant to put a safe wood lsit under toys and completely forgot. I'll do that now as well. Thanks!

Edit: Everything fixed! Thanks again!
