1 3/4 cups white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa. Bring to a boil, and cook for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat, and stir in peanut butter, oats, and vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. Let cool until hardened.

If your cookies are falling apart, you are boiling them too long. Start timing them once they come to a full boil, and boil for 1 1/2 minutes, no more, no less. Make sure you have everything ready to stir in and you have your wax paper ready to drop them onto.

MMm, that's a yummy one, Ann! We call them monster cookies.

An easy no bake also would be peanut butter balls. They're pretty easy:

1 Cup softened butter
2 Cups peanut butter
3 Cups powdered sugar (may need more to firm up the dough, depending on the peanut butter used)

Mix well, and roll about a tablespoon or so into a ball. Place on cookie sheet or wax paper.

Melt about a half bag of chocolate chips with about a teaspoon of oil until smooth; then dip the peanut butter balls in the chocolate. Leave on the wax paper until the chocolate re-sets.

Yum :D

we make PB balls too, but like this:

PB - creamy
Powered sugar

Start with about 2 c. of PB, then mix in powdered sugar until consistency of playdoh, our family doesn't really measure things... so yea.

Melt about 3-4 hersey's bars and about 1/2" x 1" chunk of gulf wax on low, carefully in the mircowave, or in a double boiler, dip balls in the chocolate and refridge to set. The wax doesn't make 'em taste nasty, and gives them a nice gloss as well as acting like a preservative..

I recently made hay stacks, which are easy and yummy. I much prefer these to the oatmeal no-bakes

1 bag of semi-sweet choco, chips, 1 bag of butterscotch chips, about 1/2 c pb ( again we have measuring cups... we just don't use them, lol ) and melt in a large pan, when all melted add in one bag of chow mein ( chinese noodles the crunchy ones ) make spoonfulls of "hay stacks" on a cookie sheet with waxed paper, refridge until set.

Those aren't peanut butter balls, those are buckeyes and they are much better with Dove instead of icky chocolate chips.

Haystacks are awesome and I agree with Nicole. I much prefer them to the oatmeal no bakes. You can add pretty much anything you want to them, peanuts, M&M's, those little mint chips. They are excellent.
