i was wondering what would be better, an exercise wheel or disk???????

It really depends on the chin and your cage set up. Flying saucers take up a lot more floorspace than a ChinSpin and can have a higher learning curve (again depends on the chin). I have 2 and I love them. As long as you have a chin safe wheel (no spokes, metal vs plastic, and large enough for a chinchilla) it really comes down to personal preference.

I agree, it's really up to whatever you want. They're both great wheels. I have 3 of the flying saucers and all of my girls figured out how to run on them.

The chin spin is also huge, and takes up quite a bit of wall space. The flying saucer just takes up more floor space. But I don't mind that because my girls don't spend much time on the floor of their cage. And sometimes they like to sleep underneath their flying saucer.

I think the chin spin tends to be a bit quieter. Only reason being is that the flying saucer can shake the cage bars a bit when they're running full speed. But you can alleviate that a bit by putting a wood block underneath the bottom support bar. But really the saucer is not noisy in terms of squeaking or anything.
