Even black velvets like some scratches!

I always hear how mean and nasty blacks are.. My blacks are some of my sweetest chins, as displayed here:

and here he was putting on the brakes as he came to the edge of the blanket

My BV is a sweet heart...until Bria got all the attention with Malo, she got a little diva like the past month, but returning back to normal. But then again I did get Smokey from Megan but she didn't breed her sooo it could just mean Megan has that special touch with the blacks.

Oh my gosh I have never heard this! Not my Gizmo! Her favorite thing isnt to be held but once you get her she is all for the scratches and sits nicely and when she is in the cage if I approach her at just the riht time she will sit for some chest tickles. But she is very hyper

I really wish my BV Jasmine would let me give her scritches!
She's definitely not mean, but is very skittish....she was a rescue chin, and her former owners kept her in a garage, which I think is why she's not very well socialised.

She's getting much better though...Ive had her for a year now, and she'll voluntarily climb into my arms when its time for her turn in the playroom. She'll give me nibble kisses through the cage bars too...as long as the contact is all on her terms, then she's a sweetheart

I'm sure that one day in the not-too-distant future she'll allow scritches!

Yeah, My BV LOVES being scratched and held.....I can walk around the house with him for hours. My Mosaic on the other hand thinks my hand is only allowed near his face when I have a treat LOL

This rumor always surprises me too. Every Black Velvet I have been around is soooo sweet and loves chin rubs.
