Hi all,
Well as I said before down here there isn't the commercial dust bath powder available. I've been using corn starch, but the problem is my little piggy prefers to eat it rather than bathe in it!!!!!
The only other thing I can think of is using the ashes from our weekly grill-outs... would that be ok? It's pretty similar to their volcanic ashes in the wild I think.
Just a thought

I would definitely see about getting it ordered online rather than using something that could be potentially harmful.

I wouldn't use anything from the grill. Besides the fact that it would be carbon, and what they bathe in is more of a pulverized rock substance, not carbon.

If you can't contact the commercial ranchers and see what they use, you could stock up at one time of a flat rate box of dust from the States. It would cost quite a bit in shipping ($42 usd), but you can fill a box with probably 20 pounds, and that would last you with one chin for a long time. Dust can be reused many times before it needs to be thrown out.
