This is the latest snippet in my life... I just mailed this to myhouse representatives, my Governor, and the Attorney General.. Anyone else have any ideas I can try to help my kids??
I have emailed your office before regarding issues with our local police department and have always gotten the brush off as in "it is a civil matter" however on March 20th my son was assaulted by his father and taken to the emergency via ambulance from the Payette County Sheriff's office. The officer did a good job in taking pictures and writing the report as well as turning it into health and welfare, but my problem is that my daughter was allowed to stay with this man ALL week for spring break and one of the county prosecutors is his attorney, another he went to high school with and Mr. Lee would not represent me in our divorce due to the conflict of interest, the other has his mother babysit her children and is great friends with the family, plus his father is the retired chief of police of Fruitland, so, even though it has been turned into the prosectuors office they are doing absolutely NOTHING! I applied for a no contact order and it was declined
for being a "custody issue"! So now we are almost to Friday and my son is terrified and I am being told that if dad pushes it the victim will have to go with the abuser? As well as my daughter has witnessed everything and is terrified too!
How is it that two grown people can get in a verbal argument and one be arrested immediately and a no contact order be issued, yet a grown man can put a child into the hospital and absolutely nothing happens? Is that all it takes for people to get away with child abuse in Idaho? Just have a friend or relative in law enforcement? Or is it that in Idaho we love our kids and it is perfectly legal to abuse them emotionally , financially, and physically as long as we don't break any bones and have a good attorney?
It is no wonder we are the fourth WORST state for child abuse. It is obviously not a big deal to law enforcement or any people who are hired by this wonderful state to protect children!!!! I wish I still lived in Washington where they actually punish the criminals and protect the kids!
