I love showing them off, so here's a few pictures of Domovoi and Haltija. Practicing restraint and not going completely overboard with too many is hard...I can't help but be happy when I'm with them, or thinking about them, or talking about them.

I love this image

I have no idea why his tail is sticking out like that... and somewhere around here, I have a picture of Domovoi sleeping with his tail sticking out the same way

They are an entertaining pair to be certain.
I got some new pictures of Haltija today though Domovoi scoffed at the notion of being captured by the camera and popcorned all over the playpen and cage leaving me with one actual picture of him and a bunch of empty shelf shots. He's a happy guy and thinks sitting still is highly over-rated, getting pictures of him can be a challenge at times.

Haltija waiting to see why the cage is open and he's still in the cage...oh I'm pointing that annoying flashing thing at him again

And where is my nose kiss?!

I love the look in the "waiting to see why the cage is open" image. Excellent images.

Cute puffies! I love that last pic. I hope you gave nose kisses. The
First pic of Domovi deserves a belly rub.

Hey, I know those boys!

Hi Annette! Glad to see that the boys are doing well and completely spoiled! They look great. I love the pictures!

I was laying in bed taking pictures of them when I got that very first picture of Domovoi, he likes to stare at me, when I'm in the room. He seems really in tune with my emotions, and he knows if I'm hurt too, at which times he'll croon at me. He hates to be held, and unless it's between the ears he's not much for being petted either, he'd have me believe he hates the head scritchies but he leans into them.
Haltija got his nose kisses as demanded, especially after being so cooperative during our photo session. If he doesn't get his nose kiss, he'll pout for hours. And he's very good at pouting. He'll also try to close the doors of the cage if I don't get to that fast enough, first time I saw him do it, my jaw almost dropped. I close the doors pretty quick now, because I don't want to risk him reaching out to grab the bars with his hands and falling out of the cage.

Hi Allison! The boys are doing great! I finally got Haltija to put on some weight, so he doesn't feel so fragile under his fur anymore, which makes me happy. He's a featherweight compared to Domovoi though, at a glance he doesn't look much bigger, but Domovoi is a heavy little thing and massive compared to Haltija or my sister's two chins. These two are awesome

So I came into the room last night after cleaning the cages and giving both boys a literal handful of wood each. And what do I find? Haltija didn't bother to go find out what all I gave him, and was upset that his favorite kind of wood wasn't included in the pieces I offered him directly!

I find him in the corner making this face

So I offer him a stick, and he gets insulted!

He wants that kind! Yes that, the one with the thick chunky bark on it mom! Ah finally...

In the meantime in the cage below Domovoi, already checked out everything I put in his cage himself and found his own favorite.

And here's a cute picture I got last night completely unrelated to their wood eating habits, he actually posed!

They are both wood snobs...
