On the orignal topic I would not let dogs and chinchillas interact outside of a cage.
The both chins appear in good health in both ads. the first one comes with what appears to be a ferret nation cage and 250 for all accessories is a good deal. I can't see the ad with the second to know if they are offering a cage as well or what the price is. However the first ad says chins live for 8 years - she/he should polietly be corrected that they live 15-20 and that cage wire spacing is not suitable for breeding just fyi. I think I missed the part about what sex your current chinchilla is but I am hoping it is the same sex as the chin you are planning to get...make sure you check out the advice on intros in the sticky otherwise congrats on your potential new pet.
