I remember seeing a post one time about a good place to get some dog tags.

I need something really sturdy that won't wear off. Reason being that the dogs like to chew on each others tags, so I need something that their occasional chewing won't dent or wear the names and numbers off.

So does anyone have any sites they've used that they would recommend?

If you don't mind, Alli, let me add this question. What is the sturdiest metal? Stainless steel or bronze? Or is there something even sturdier and less scratch resistant. I have two dogs that need tags, too.

Oh no problem Carol.

I agree, what's the best metal? I don't want to spend the money on something and have it not last

oh, I think those would be perfect because then the dogs won't be able to chew on them! Thanks :)

I have the Boomerang Tags and I love them. My guys were them camping and they look brand new after 2 years of ruff wear

I ordered some of those tags from Boomerang yesterday. I was actually surprised by the price since they were $9.99 and had free shipping. Then I got a $1 off of the second one.

Something that a law enforcement officer once told me was not to put the dogs name on the tag. This way the person doesn't know the dogs name, but to put down needs daily medication for heart problem. Something along those lines and then your contact information.

Personally, if I see an ad looking for a missing dog that needs "daily heart meds" or "HE NEEDS MEDS!", I dismiss it because almost every missing pet ad says it anymore. Not that I've found a pet and dismiss if it's collar said that, but I think that putting "reward" would work better personally.

We had some grooming dogs that has these little tubes or "laser" type things that have their information, and it has what kind of meds they're on and when they need them, along with the owner info. If I had a dog with medical problems that needed medication that's how I'd go because then they can get the dog it's meds whether or not they can get a hold of the owner.

Wow, that's a really good price. I'm considering these for our kitties' collars now.

So we got these in the mail the other day and they're super nice! Thanks for the link, I'm really happy with them.

I have the boomerang tags and on they I have " If I am alone I am Lost" then REWARD and my phone number
