Dog Safe Birthday Cake?

Maybe an odd request but I was wondering if anyone has ever made their dog a birthday cake... Doggie Safe.

If so, you mind sharing the recipe you used?

I haven't ever made one, but you gave me another idea (that will possibly make my husband question my sanity even more!)

Technically if it doesn't contain chocolate, macademia nuts, etc.. it's dog safe. Now healthy is another matter.

Usually we do can dog food with a bone/treat as a candle but Felix (who turns 2 today, Valentine's Day baby) won't eat can dog food of any kind. Never has, so on the others 3's birthday's he just gets a treat and I feel like he gets left out in a way.
It's his birthday and we can't have him being left out on his own birthday.

I think I'm gonna attempt to make cupcakes from the 2 link for them.

Hopefully they like them and I can snap a few photos.
