Does anyone know what this is?????

There appears to be a pimple or wart on the nose of my chinchilla, I dont know what it is and am worried, so I ran here to ask all of you

I can't really see it all that well, but could it be he nicked his nose and that's a loose flap of skin? Is there any sort of wound at the base of that piece of skin?

It's kind of hard for me to see it in the pics, but it kind of looks like a growth of some sort? Not really like a pimple or wart though. When did you first notice it? Did it start out smaller or did it just appear? I don't really know what it is. But I'm curious to find out!

Does he have a cage mate? The pics aren't clear enough to see very well, but he may have gotten nipped and it has abscessed?

Ooow ouch...that dont look right to me. It is kind of hard to see. I would take a trip to the vet and have it checked out. Better safe then sorry

she has a kit with her in the cage and now he has fur missing on his nose too im beggining to think that maybe its a fungus or ringworm one of those? anybody have any experience with that??

I have seen fungus and it did not look like that. I think a vet visit is needed though, I would want to know what that is.

I dont think a fungus would cause a growth like that. I never heard of such a thing. I would take them to the vet asap.

One of my chin did have something like this once on her ear. I wasn't sure if it was there for a long time, but last time I checked it wasn't there anymore :hmm:

Looks like a skin flap, the vet can remove it. Never really saw one on chins, but I suppose it's possible.
