My chin recently had what might of been a head trauma, I didn't take him to the vet. He acts normal to me. But I have noticed he hasn't been drinking as much water as he normally does, he sleeps a lot unless I take him out to play. I'm not to worried, cause he still makes his normal sounds and moves like he should, but I found diarrhea in his hammock, not a lot of it but noticeable. I've had him since November of 2011 and I've never taken him to the vet. I'm wondering if a check up is needed?

If your chin had what might've been a head trauma, you should definitely visit a vet as soon as possible. Chins are preys and tend to hide their troubles so as not to seem weak. Also, if you haven't changed your chin's diet recently, then the diarrhoea is definitely suspicious as well. Please visit a vet!!

Are vet visits usually expensive? I'm willing to pay whatever money to take care of Ottis, but I don't have a job right now.
