Critter nation doubles..good deal?

Two Huge Critter Nation cages for sale they are used and there is some rusting but they are in great condition...I am asking 100.00 each and I can drop off for a small fee to help with gas or they can be picked up at my house...These cages are excellent for any small animal, Rat, Guinea pig, small rabbit, chinchilla and so on...SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY!!

I'm wondering if I should replace the cages I currently have with this...it would be awesome to downsize from 4 cages to 2...but I want to make sure I'm not wasting money.

If they are the Critter Nations as opposed to Ferret Nation. The biggest difference, and I personally HATE it,is the bars are so closely spaced that its hard to get a finger in for scritches.It also seems to make the cages look darker and hard to see pets.They are probably great for maternity cages, but for regular pets,I would go Ferret Nation.

Sounds like a good deal to me, since those cages are over $200.00 new. They are easier to put together than the FNs as well. Reaching through bars isn't a biggie for me, because you shouldn't reach through bars with any rodent as it encourages biting. You should always open the door.

Maybe it isn't a big deal but I'd only be concerned about where the rusting is. If it's where you can cover it with fleece or bedding, I would definitely go for it.

I emailed the person, just waiting for a reply. I don't have the $200 right now so I actually asked if they would hold them for me, for a little extra (I'm hoping something around $50) since I'm starting a new job soon. keep your fingers crossed for me!

Isn't it Murphy's Law where everything that can go wrong, will go wrong? Or..like..the day after you throw out something you've held on to for a few years 'just in case' you need it...you REALLY need it? Well whatever the 'Law' is for that sort of stuff. It just happened to me. I remember thinking about Peggy's comment that

and I remember thinking "well I'm glad that I have Mork as an exception because it's the only way I can give him chin scritches" ...just went and gave him some chin scritches, and he ended up biting me (of COURSE). He bit me so hard that I bled both from the top and bottom of my finger, and the top part of my finger actually has about 1 or 2 mms of skin missing that he sort of scraped off when I pulled my finger back (he didn't eat it or anything, I cut it off). :banghead: Figures, doesn't it?

UGH this is so FRUSTRATING.
I have received a reply from the original poster 3 days after contacting them. I know that if I were selling something as expensive as the 2 Critternations, I would reply faster...long story short, before they replied I posted in my local CL with the following::

Hi,
I emailed to no avail. I want your cages, I don't even need to see them in person to know that I want them. I call that a serious inquiry! I currently have 4 chinchillas in 4 separate cages, so 2 Double Critternations would be a space saver that I am willing to pay you $200 for. PLEASE email me, I want these cages as soon as possible!!

There was also a not so subtle attempt at grabbing their attention by posting a picture of each of my chinchillas. The reply I got said that the woman would run it by her husband, but that was 5 days ago...I'm so tired of waiting.

On top of that, the ad I posted to get their attention received the following emails from two different people::

hey im not the person your talking to im your post ut i got a really nice cage im looking to get rid of its about 3.5 tall

Followed by

i have a 4 floor and 2 1/2 cages but i have also 2 chinchillas im looking to sell call me ###-####

Was I not clear in stating that I specificallt wanted the 2 Critter nations that were previuosly posted??
Also, at what point in time did I ask to buy chinchillas from someone who a. doesn't capitalize their "i"s and b. is probably a BYB looking to make profit on some petstore chinchillas they bought looking to have babies and make extra money...?? :hair:
