Ok so i may just be over reacting because Whiskers ALWAYS has her eyes open even when shes sleeping, but Snowball has her closed all the time especially while sleeping, but while watching them eat i noticed Snowball was eating with both her eyes closed? Could there be something wrong? and no there is nothing watery coming out of her eye.

Some of my chins "sleep eat" all the time. Unless her eyes have discharge or look red/irritated around them, I would not worry.

Well her eyes are red but thats not anything wrong cause they are naturaly red, but nothing around them is red, my mom says it looks a little puffy but i dont really see it, what i do see though is a few centimeters under her eye a kinda black streak, could that be anything?

I didn't mean the actual eye itself being red. I meant the skin around it.

I'm not sure what the black streak would be.

Alright well for some reason im having trouble with uploading the photos, i think shes fine but im panicking still, all it is is a little black smuge a little under her eye, and she keeps her eyes closed lots more than Whiskers, but sometimes her left eye is open but her right eye is squinted. Do you guys think she just got it dirty somehow?

EDIT: Here i just got some

Alright here they are, idk if you can see it but look for the black smudge kinda under the eye and to the right, sorry about the pictures the lighting was awful plus a terrible camera. For some reason it looks red around the eye but in person its not red at all around the eye

Oh and one more thing, yes my 2 chinchillas are together, please don't give me crap because i did not do a full months quarentine, it was i think around 2 or 3 weeks but Snowball accidentally got in the same room as Whiskers and i heard after they have been in the same area quarentine is pointless because if any diseases or w.e were airborn they woulda already gotten them.

Ok so my mom had Whiskers out in a playpen in my room and i took Snowball out in the bathroom, i just imagined that the crack under the door was to small for her to slip out but apparently not, then snowball ran straight to my room which is halfway accross the house and her and Whiskers kissed...

It may be but from what i see it doesnt really look puffy at all

Well im using alright camera and it is supposed to auto focus but since its not a human face and its really close the focusing is not working and i dont know how to turn that off

Does the camera have a macro function? It should be a button that has a little flower on it. That will allow the camera to focus closer up. Most all digital cameras should have one, even the older cameras.

I dont see it, i will talk to my dad when he gets home and try to get up pictures by tomorrow

it doesn't look puffy to me. It looks like a pink white chin with very red eyes. Sometimes when the eyes are that red, light in general can bother them and it makes them squinty when other chinchillas eyes would be open in a normal way. We noticed this problem at chin shows, when the beiges and pink whites get under the lights, the ones that have bright red eyes ALWAYS get squinty and act like they want to hide their faces.

I couldn't really see any dark streak under her eye? I possibly see some shadowing/color in the third picture but I'm not sure. If that's what you're worried about I would blow on the fur to make sure that it isn't just her natural coloring. If it's not her coloring it could be that she is rubbing her face on something that would leave that color on her? That would indicate her eye is irritated if she's trying to rub up on things.
