Thanks everyone. We're feeling pretty guilty and regretting the decision. My poor little guy.

He went into stasis and declined really quickly. I posted about him sitting there and an hour later I had him at the vet. An hour after that he died. In an incubator with IV fluids. He crashed far too quickly.

We feel awful.

I guess the one saving grace is because we split him and the baby up a few weeks ago she doesn't seem to care very much. Behaving as normal.

And of course that means we should have just got another cage.

Aw, don't blame yourself, there was no way you could have predicted the outcome. You thought you were doing what was best for them and there is no shame in that.
