im thinking about getting a chinchilla, Kamille or Kamillia a good name? I was thinking Camille but i decided to change it into a K. So Kamille? Or Camille? what do you think? Let me know!

I've always said wait till you get her cause you never know if its gonna fit their personality. I usually make a list of names I like and then see if she fits any of the names. It doesn't always work. I really really wanted Pia to be an Amelia but alas...

But I really like the name Kamille.

It depends on her accent, is it French enough to carry off "Camille," if not I would go with Kamille :)). Just kidding, I like the name, I think you should spell it the way you like since she won't be reading it most likely (I guess you really never know). Once you get your chin though you may find the name doesn't fit. Let us know what you decide!

I would vote for Camille.
Personally, I am always stuck with the letter "K". My maden name (it's my middle name now), my ex-husband's last name (it's my last name now), my BF's last name (It will be mine if we EVER get married after 5 years of relationship...:(, and so on. For me, K is everywhere, especially in Japan, where I am from. We don't have "C", and use K instead in Japan. So, C is more fancy to me!

I like lovely names spelled just a little differently, like Camille switched to Kamille. We spelled my father's black lab's name Isyss instead of Isis and I just thought it was a nice touch. Not to mention I think Camille (spelled either way) is a gorgeous name and it has now been added to my list of future possibles! ;)

I am very glad to hear I am not so odd after all for keeping a list of names to use in the future. I keep the list in the notes section of my cell phone, and add them as they cross my mind (like at work, Bounce, Bounty and Charmin and Mrs. Buttersworth...and at home paying bills, Chase, Sprint, Warner and Duke). But I agree with the others, wait until you get your chin. I am notorious for actually changing a name a week or two after I have had one because it just did not settle right for me.

That is a good idea. I myself have an Excel page with names that strike my fancy but it is not always accessible.

I recently got 2 new chins and was having a hard time finding names for them but the male was already named Max by the previous owner so my little girl became Mia. Max and Mia love each other.

I like Camille better than Kammie or whatever it was, but like others said you should leave your options open until you actually get to see her and really know her personality.
