Hey everyone, relatively new chin owner and have finally completed my little guys new home. After some time getting use to his new wheel all he wants to do is run! However the wheel purchased is very noisy (Lazy susan/homemade wheel) it is 16" in diameter.

I'm not sure the normal size of a chinchilla but ours is quite large based on other peoples first impressions. I included some pictures.

My question is do I spring for the 15" chin spin with about 6" running space or will the silver surfers 14" w/ 4" running space be sufficient.

Sorry not the best pictures, all I have at the moment!! Thanks in advance!!

ps. don't mind the chewing, we try to catch him before he chews it. It can't be safe for him, he just loves to chew :(

Since you say he is on the large side, I would get the Chin Spin. It will give him more room so he can run comfortably. They are pretty quiet, too.

That's what I was leaning towards. Should I be more worried about the running path or the overall diameter of the wheel?
