HI

I have my chinchille now almost 2 years. Its my first one :)
My chinchilla has some fungus or thing on the toe, and needs to be amputated , coz its eating the flesh and can kinda see the bone.

anyone know what caused it maybe or had the same problem?

My chin is going in this morning , feel verry sad about this.:cry3:

Fungus would not cause a toe to need amputation. An infection certainly would though. Did he/she get it caught on something?

Amputations are no big deal. Just make sure you keep it clean afterwords. They heal pretty quickly.

It has infection yes, my chin is chewing the toe aswell, i really don't know what happened, the eveing i got home when i went to sparky i saw the toe look bad, so i took him the vet.

wel yesterday i picked him up and they said they not going to do anything for 5 days i need to give him antibiotics, and omw i am really struggling to give it to him, he hates it.
