Miller Chinchillas
There are many things that would need to be worked out first in order to make this show happen. I need to run the idea by the Heartland Group and see if they like it and would allow us to use their show equipment. As for the time of year, I would like to do the first or second Saturday in November. The Mutation show would be run exactly like the Standard show with 10 class system. The exhibitor would place the animals in whatever order they wanted by your cage #'s. Each class would have a different variety of colors in it competing for class champion. It's a little tougher for the judge to decide the best of each class, but is a real advantage to the exhibitor who brings 5 Black Velvets and 5 Ebonies for example, you will have 1 animal in all 10 classes competing for champion instead of only having animals in 2 classes (the ebony and bv class) like current mutation show rules. If there is a really strong Violet or White or Beige it's going to have to beat an Ebony or a Black Velvet in order to be a class champion which makes it more deserving. All 10 Mutation classes will be much more competive this way. The final pay out award money will really be determined by amount of animals shown. Participation is really the key to making this type of show work. I will continue to get more information on the feasibility of this show and keep you posted.
