Hi,

Recently I have noticed my chinchilla has not been himself, he is usually jumping around his cage and very excited when he sees me, but recently he has been off his food, he hasn't eaten much, if anything for a few days, and he is not himself. He's losing weight and his fur seems to be moulting, though it has been quite warm here at the moment, could this affect his fur and eating?
Is there anything I can do or buy to help him,
Thanks in advance :)

What's the temperature in his room? Chinchillas need air conditioning and can suffer from heat stroke at 80F/27C, so the temp should be kept under 21C. Lower is better.

I see you have two chins, is the other one having issues also? If not, I would make a vet visit, it could be nothing, it could be serious-the symptoms.
