Chinchilla laying around

My chinchilla is eating, drinking, and pooping like normal but he has started to lay on his side. Could this mean he is too hot? I haven't gotten a/c installed yet so I have put a fan on him.

If he's eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, and normally active, then he's probably fine. What is the temperature where he is living? If it's not above 70 and everything else is normal, I wouldn't worry.

just a quick note: fans do not cool chinchillas. They do not sweat and sweat is what makes moving air feel cooler.
