I got Smokey almost two weeks ago (April 5th); my SO bought her from PetSmart.

She had really bad fur (matted, oily, pieces sticking out, some small bald spots on the head, and her left eye a little smaller than the right eye and maybe a bit red ). She's been brushed and dust bathed, and her fur looks millions of times better.

However, since she didn't look like she was well tended for, I took her to a vet. The vet agreed that her eye seemed a little inflamed and gave me some antibiotic eye drops with the instructions to give them twice a day as needed.
I told the vet that she grinds her teeth sometimes, but the vet said it was normal and that her teeth were fine.

This past Wednesday, I wasn't able to make it home for the evening so she didn't get drops that night or the next morning (my roommate didn't do it even though I asked). When I got home on Thursday evening, her eye seemed significantly more swollen, and a little bit crusty around the edges. I cleaned it out with warm water and put the drops in.

Today (Friday), I put some drops in the morning, but her eye is even worse. It's swollen completely shut (it was pretty much glued shut until I cleaned it out with q-tips and water, and now it's a tiny slit). I have an appointment at 9:45 am tomorrow, but I'm really worried and was wondering if there is anything I can/should do until then?

She doesn't seem to be in pain, she is behaving as usual (active, talking, jumping) and when I was cleaning her eye, she didn't seem to freak out but was more like "Hmmm, whatcha doing?"

PS. I can post photos if you all think it would be helpful.

I took her to the vet this morning and they noticed her nose is a little runny and said that the teeth grinding is indication of pain. She's also been sneezing.

She does not have ringworm and it's most likely a sinus infection.

She is taken off the previous antibiotics (tobramycin).

This is what she received: -Baytril, an oral antibiotic (liquid that will be administered with a syringe) 2 x day, -Meloxicam, a pain/anti-inflammatory medication (also liquid) 1 x day, -Flurbiprofen, anti-inflammatory eyedrops 2 x day, and -Ofloxacin, an eye drop antibiotic 2 x day.

I'm supposed to see 50% improvement by the end of the week.

I've given her everything as directed and she's resting.
