Sweet PDZ is not sold as "chinchilla dust" it is actually a stall freshener for horses. Most feed stores (stores that sell agricultural supplies) carry or it can get it in if they carry Manna Pro items.
It's not chinchilla dust. It's a horse stall refresher that some people use as a chinchilla dust. You can usually find it at any feed/tractor supply store.
I read that sweet pdz is just as good as blue sparkle for chinchilla dust. Also that it was great for people with allergies.
Thanks for the answears guys, i had know idea.
I have a big problem with my allergies and the dust as well! Izzy doesn't make me sneeze but once he gets rolling around and covered in the dust I have a sneezing fit till early morning So either of the 2 mentioned are good for that? But are they still just as good for my chin?
Also wanted to add that if you go the their website www.sweetpdz.com
and email them with your zipcode, they will find the nearest place to you that sells it.
I was told that it was possible to make a dust bath using corn starch and baking soda . . . . has anyone heard of this? I, too, am having some strong skin reactions to the dust bath (and therefore the chins themselves) and am looking for a substitute. Thanks!
