Chinchilla Combs?

I am interested in purchasing two chinchilla combs (one finely toothed and the other less finely toothed). What are the recommended sizes (i.e. size 2 and 4) for this, and who can I buy them from?

Size 2 and 4 are good to start with. Are you looking at showing? I know Ryersons http://www.ryersonchinchilla.com/arc.htm sells them and last I know also did Jags [email protected].

I do not plan to show, but I would like to have their fur at show quality at my home for health and visual appeal. Jags no longer sells the combs, but thanks for the Ryerson recommendation. Where on their site can I read about their combs?

Thanks for the link. How did you navigate to that page? And I have not touched a chinchilla comb, but I understand that they can be extremely sharp.

I do not know where you are located but if you would like to observe chin grooming we will be having the Michigan show in Albion Michigan next Saturday. Grooming will start around 6am until 9am or so. There will be people there including myself more than willing to show you how it is done.
