chin cookies?

It sounds like other chin cookies I've heard of. Just remember if you do give it to your chins, to give it sparingly as it is a "treat" since it contains molasses (sugar).
 
I would think that you could substitute the molasses with black strap molasses. Black strap molasses is better for chins.
 
That's a pretty high sugar recipe all around.

You don't need the molasses, you could just grind the oats up into flour, or buy wheat flour and make a paste.

For my cookies I use a mix of ground flax, ground Ryerson oat supplement and wheat flour. I grind everything in the blender so it's evenly mixed and easier to put on a cookie sheet. I make batches of 3-400 at a time, otherwise I wouldn't bother grinding it.

The chins scarf them down, I guess you could add molasses or honey, but they really don't need it.

As far as amounts, just make sure you have a 1 to 1 ratio of the flour to other dry ingredients so they'll stick together when you bake them. :))
