so i have the chin cookie "batter" sitting in my fridge. its been there for about 2 nights already. im gonna make the cookies tonite and from the recipe i followed, it says to put them on a silicone mat.

can i just put them on a normal cookie pan?

They stick really badly on a regular pan since there is no fat in them. I would use silicone. I got my silicone cupcake pan from walmart for $5.

thanks so much! glad i saw this before going to class- i'll stop at walmart on my way home!

im so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess it depends on how you do it, mine don't stick to my pans, I don't use the silicone sheet. I just take them out half way through and flip them over with a spatula and then put them back in the oven for the rest of the time. For me, flipping them over stops them from sticking.

you could also try lining the cookie sheet with waxed paper.

First of all, thanks for following my recipe =) tell me how the cookies turns out!
I would recommend using parchment/ wax paper too! It can create a non-stick surface like a silicon mat but cheaper. But both work great, I just happens to have a silicon mat around.
Happy baking~

I used parchment paper - love the stuff and use it for everything! Makes cooking and clean-up so easy :)).

so another thing....i pretty much just split all the ingredients in half cuz i only have one chin. but i still turned out a lot of cookies. like a lot a lot. lol i even spelled out his name with them haha.

how long should they last?

if you bake them well until bone dry and keep them in cool/dry places, they will last a loooong time even without any preservation method.
just remember to let it out after baking (overnight), to make sure any residue moisture vent off.
