While I was sweeping my room today and cleaning her cage, my chin ate a small broom hair that fell off the broom before I could pick it up. It was from a dollar general angle broom that I think had plastic bristles. Will this hurt her? What can I do? I'm worried pretty bad.

It most likely won't hurt her, but watch her intake of food and water, and output of poop and pee for the next few days. If she stops doing any of those things then you might have a bigger issue. It's likely that she chewed it into smaller pieces and will just pass it on her own.

Ok thanks. I'm a little more relieved now. My buddy tells me they are not made of plastic but of nylon. I'm not sure either way. Don't know if that makes a difference. I cleaned her cage last night. This happened around 3 am and she seems to be pooing pretty well. It's 12:42 here now.

I agree with Becky: watch food/water intake, and poop production for a day or two!
She will probably be fine, just keep an eye on her :)

Over the years my girls have eaten a few odd things. Rosey ate a spider once, my old chin Poppy ate a moth, a bit of styrofoam that accidentally got kicked into the chin room, plus some sellotape from an old cardboard box. My other old girl Jasmine ate a bit of rope that somehow had gotten into the hay bale.
They were all okay in the end, but it sure does give you a few days worth of worry!!

I agree just watch the poopsand be sure there is no blockage sometimes running to a vet would be an unecessary stress this is such a case watch your chin closely but don't worry too much
