Hi guys!
I have two Chins, they seem healthy and happy. I let them run around and have their free time everyday. But while they run around, I am doing many other things. I will do homework, or clean, or anything that I simply have to get done. I keep the room chin proof.
BUT one thing that they always do is chew on the trim on the walls. Does anybody else have this problem?

Does anyone know a way that I can get them to stop doing so? I understand chins don't understand when we yell or anything so I refrain from doing for that reason. Any ideas?
thanks!

See I would definitely do so if this were possible but I can't just cover every inch of the trim in my bedroom. There is kind of a lot of trim exposed. If I hear/see them chewing on it I simply shoo them away. I understand it is in their nature. I just wish that there was a way that I could get them to stop chewing on THAT. When they come out I put a bunch of chewy and safe items on the floor that they don't have in their cage and they are still not interested. If I had my own place it'd be a little different. I'm running out of options! eeek!

Pretty much all chins do this. Line the walls with cardboard and either tape it to the wall at the top (don't put tape where the chins can reach it though), or prop it into a stable position using wooden tunnels or something else safe for chewing.

The only way is to block off the area completely or not let them play in that area. You may want to look into getting them a play pen.
