Chewing on Saucer ?

I've had my two oldest chins for 3 years now. Last night I heard the strangest thing. I thought they had dropped a stick onto their flying saucer. I went in to check and one of them was standing there chewing on the edge of the flying saucer. I've never seen this behavior before.

They have tons of wood in their cage, which gets gnawed on nightly. Why would he be chewing on the saucer? Maybe he liked the sound of it...

Anyone else ever experience this?

I remember reading about someone elses chin doing it and they came to the same conclusion as you. . .Either the sound or maybe its a different feeling on their teeth.
